There is something about football. I think we have a strong emotional reaction to seeing someone avoid danger on the gridiron and it’s heightened by the size (and for some sex) difference in these highlights. It’s like watching a squirrel run away from a dog. Go! Go! Go!
232 carries might be a lot for kids. I can see the allure of keeping the best players on the field to win and for the parents entertainment.
