One of the Reasons I like the Belgian Classics
Here are some screen shots I took while I was watching the Dwars door Vlaanderen a couple days ago. I love it when it is a dicey road and you have to make on the road decisions. It’s too bad that that E3-prijs Vlaanderen and Gent-Wevelgem overlap this weekend. We won’t get to see the normal build up to Flanders and Roubaix.

clearly a failure of the organizers to put up enough fencing that they must stay on the cobbles. / kidding…

I think I did an interclub race on that road! I was lucky enough to be following a rider who made the turn right onto that path. I remember looking over thinking to myself those cobbles sure look like they would suck to ride fast on. I think it was raining too… good times.
