Jingle Cross Rock Iowa City

A huge $1000 1st place prize for a cyclo-x. Local hometown favorite, Jason McCartney, Discovery Team, likes to race and train in all disciplines of the sport. He made his one cyclo-x start of the season at his hometown event. His dismounting and mounting skills were a little rusty. But, he power was evident as usual.

The 2005 event included special appearances by US Olympic Cyclist and Discovery Channel Pro Cycling Team Rider Jason McCartney and 5 time UCI World Mountain Bike Champion Steve Tilford highlighted the day in the Men’s Elite A race. Tilford showed his cross skills on the technical areas and emerged victorious in the 2nd annual Jingle Cross Rock sponsored by TIAA-CREF and the City of Coralville.
